General Troubleshooting Tips

If you're having trouble with 1Password, there are a few general things to check first:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of 1Password. The latest version is 3.0.9To check for updates, open 1Password and choose 1Password > Check for Updates from the menu. To stay up-to-date, make sure you enable automatic updates in the Preferences.
  • Check the User Guide and videos. If you're new to 1Password and not sure where to start, have a look at the 3 Minute Expert Guide.
  • Review your diagnostics report to see if 1Password reports any issues. You can generate the report in 1Password by selecting Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report. Double click the diagnostics icon to view the the report.
