1Password has not yet gotten their iPhone version out yet, but after seeing the preview that they posted on their blog, it’s another app I’m quite interested in. One of it’s abilities is supposed to be allowing you to generate super-tough and super-safe passwords, but I’ve been a bit slow at getting many of my passwords safe because I wouldn’t remember them if I needed to login from somewhere else and didn’t have 1Password there to autofill the info for me. Between having 1Passworf on the iPhone/iPod touch and the my1Password service, however, both of which are coming up soon, I could really have a nice solution for keeping track of my passwords and keeping them secure

This post is really just to thank Agile Web Solutions for their fantastic work and updates to 1Password. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone with a mac. It uses browser plugins to work with all major Mac browsers such as Firefox, Safari, Camino and Opera, plus it can be used across more than one mac at a time!

Confession: I use 1Password on the Mac a lot. I just used it to login so I could write this preview. I use it (synced via keychain) to my desktop at home, and I’ve used the various incarnations of the 1Password javascript bookmarklet on the original iPhone 2G. But now they’ve gone native, baby!

My must have application on the Mac 1Password is awaiting it’s arrival in the iTunes store, this is awesome news. I simply cannot live without the application on my Mac’s, I’ve not had to remember a password in a long time and to have them available to me on the iPod is great news

I met Dave Teare, one the the 1Password developers, at Macworld and immediately liked him. Dave is my kind of Mac Geek: passionate about his Mac and making the best possible software. So upon seeing Dave’s write up and preview of 1Password for the iPhone and iPod Touch it comes as no surprise to me that it looks fantastic.
