In version 2.5 we changed the name of 1Passwd to 1Password. We changed the name almost everywhere, including the name in the browser extensions. During the upgrade process we remove the old 1Passwd extension and install the new 1Password extension.

When upgrading to 1Password version 2.5, we have have several reports from .Mac members that the new 1Password keychain has all of its contents duplicated. For instance, a 1Passwd keychain from version 2.4 containing 400 items would end up having 800 items, or even 1200 items in the new 1Password keychain in version 2.5.

The assistant was removed in version 2.5.9 as we needed to solve an issue it was causing and we had hoped most people had already upgraded.
